Hal Welsh East Area Family Y

Teen University allows you to participate in teen programming across the YMCA of Central New York association and earn credit for your new skills! You can major in one of our three focus areas and explore every department! Teen employees will also be able to earn credits towards Teen University for their years of employment and completed staff development. Contact Meredith Ouderkirk or Allie Clarke to learn more.

Ages 10-18

Monday - Friday: 3:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sundays: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

North Area Family Y

Ages 7-12. NOTE: Age 7 needs to be signed into Prime Time to participate in Power Zone.

Monday - Friday: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Northwest Family Y

Ages 7-12. NOTE: Age 7 needs to be signed into Prime Time to participate in Power Zone.

Monday - Friday: 5:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Southwest Y

Tween Club
For youth in grades 5-8 attending Onondaga Hill Middle School for the Westhill School District.  Join us for an after-school program focusing on activities, Art and STEAM projects, relationship building, and homework assistance.  Once a week we have a member of our Education department come in for homework help.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. (or when the bus drops off) to 6:00 p.m.

Maker Club @ the Southwest Y
The Southwest Y is happy to host the Onondaga Free Library in our Teen Center for “Maker Club”! Join the Onondaga Free Library at the Southwest Y on Tuesdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. from Sept. 17, 2019 - Oct. 22, 2019. This is a free program for both Y members and non-members in grades 5 & up. From the Onondaga Free Library: “Calling all MAKERS-Join our new after-school club at the Southwest YMCA (located at OCC). Work with robots, create video games, build with LEGOs, and more!”

NOTE: Though this free program is provided and run by the Onondaga Free Library, the Southwest Y would like to account for how many students will be attending to make sure we have enough available space. Register online today here. If you have a student that attends Onondaga Hill Middle School, you can request to have your child dropped off on Tuesdays at the YMCA stop through Westhill Transportation.
