Lunch

  • All full-day students will eat lunch with College for Kids staff under a large tent in the Mulroy Hall parking lot, weather permitting. Half-day students are welcome to have lunch in the tent. In the case of inclement weather, students will eat lunch in the classrooms.
  • One lunch table will be designated as “Nut Free” for students who are allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. This table will be located at the tent entrance.
  • Your child must bring a bagged lunch with drink (no refrigeration available) if not registered for the Prepaid Lunch Plan.
  • Students will have an opportunity to participate in parking lot games, jump rope, chalk drawing, and more during the last 20 minutes of lunch. Students must wear appropriate, closed-toe shoes.
  • Students are not allowed to bring and use electronic gaming devices. A goal of the YMCA of Central New York and the New York Department of Health is to limit the amount of non-educational screen time. Lunch activities will be provided for students to partake in and build relationships with other students.
